This fun pop-out Nativity Advent Calendar pairs contemporary design with the rich tradition of anticipating the magic of December 25.

The front of the box folds down to become a cobblestone courtyard where all the Nativity characters gather. Starting on the first Sunday of Advent, open one door each day to welcome a new surprise character!

The kit includes 54 pieces which assemble into 24 freestanding characters: Joseph and Mary, the Baby Jesus, a manger, three wise men, angels, shepherds and a host of animals.

Advent calendars date back to 19th-century Germany, when Lutherans printed elaborate liturgical reminders, with compartments for each day containing a verse or poem.
